Wenham Holt Nursing Home is registered for 50 places with the Care Quality Commission; (formerly the Commission for Social Care Inspectorate (CSCI)) for residents with Dementia and those who require Post-Operative,Convalescent and Terminal Care. We can also provide care for up to 10 adults with a learning disability. Sixteen of the Registered places are contracted to the Hampshire Primary Care Trust as 'continuing care' beds. Both single and shared rooms are available, many with en-suite facilities. The Nursing Home has four spacious lounges and a separate dining room. In addition, we have a purpose built sensory room and a sun lounge.

Our sister Home, Eastfield has recently constructed a purpose built extension which contains a Hydrotherapy complex with pool and sauna which is available for use by our residents. Wenham Holt Nursing Home was awarded the top quality rating of a "three star excellent service" following an inspection in late February 2009 but since then we have had to go through the process of applying for a new Registration from the Care Quality Commision (CQC) as we have set up a new company to run the service for Wenham Holt Homes Ltd.  This new Registration was issued in early September 2009 and despite the fact we are still the operating the service with the same management, processes and staff, all of our history has been deleted from the CQC website  as we are on paper a new provider. We also appear on their website as 'not yet rated' and have been told that we cannot achieve the three star rating  we were awarded in February 2009 for up to three years as 'New Services' cannot be awarded 3 stars. We are currently in discussion with The CQC about this situation as it does not give the correct information as to who we are and what we offer. Until the situation is resolved there is no link to our previous reports on the CQC website as they have been removed, however a copy of the February 2009 report and summary can be found on our web pages. A hard copy of the report can also be sent out on request.
